David Reutimann also managed to get by Johnson for a career best second place finish while Johnson came in third.

Ryan Newman and Carl Edwards completed the top five.

Kentucky becomes the first track added to the Cup schedule since Chicagoland Speedway and Kansas Speedway in 2001.  The mile and a half track about 40 miles south of Cincinnati got a date on the schedule when Atlanta lost one of its two annual dates.  Atlanta’s only Cup event this year will be Labor Day weekend.
