Kyle Busch Ticketed For Speeding On Public Road

NASCAR driver Kyle Busch has gotten himself in trouble not only on the race track this season but off it of too.  Busch was ticketed for speeding and reckless driving on Tuesday when he was clocked going 128 mph in a 45 mph zone in Statesville, NC, 30 miles north of Charlotte.

NASCAR Preview For Dover

Sprint Cup, Nationwide and the Trucks....they're all racing this weekend at Dover's Monster Mile. It'll be interesting to see if the drivers can keep their emotions in check this week.

The last two weekends have featured the latest in a long streak of feuds. Ryan Newman was upset with Juan Pablo Montoya at Richmond and it boiled over before the race at Darlington and then Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick went at it after the race in Darlington.

Kyle Busch Makes It 3 In A Row At Richmond

Kyle Busch made it a 3-peat in the spring race at Richmond International Raceway Saturday night.  He stretched his final tank of gas to 107 laps to beat teammate Denny Hamlin, denying Hamlin a weekend sweep at his home track.

Busch led 235 of the 400 laps at the ¾ mile track including the last 85 for his 21st career victory and second this season.  The fuel strategy was so close, Busch couldn’t finish his victory burn-out.  He had to be pushed to victory lane.

Jimmie Johnson Wins In A Photo Finish At Talladega

You couldn’t have asked for a better race at any level at any track.  On the final lap any one of four cars could have won and when the checkered flag flew it was a moment before anyone realized exactly who had won.  But when the dust all settled a video review showed it was Jimmie Johnson who won the Aaron’s 499 at Talladega edging Clint Bowyer by 0.002 of a second – that’s less than a foot.

NASCAR Report: Kyle Busch Wins Again At Bristol

Is there any driver that’s more dominant now than Kyle Busch?  He completed a weekend sweep at Bristol with yesterday’s Sprint Cup win after winning the Nationwide race the day before.  Kyle led 152 of 500 laps for his fifth straight win at Bristol dating back to last August when he had 3-race sweep.  It’s also his fifth career Cup win at Bristol, tying him with his older brother Kurt who also has five career victories at Bristol.

After a disappointing 38th-place finish last at Vegas, Kyle Busch looks to rebound at Bristol this weekend where he's had a lot of success in recent years. Busch was the points leader heading into Vegas, but dropped to 14th when he left.

It was just last August at Bristol when Kyle became the first driver to win all three of NASCAR's national touring series races in the same weekend.
