Before the weekend Kyle Busch had never won a race at Martinsville Speedway.  He took care of that by first winning Saturday's Camping World Truck race, then completed the sweep by winning Sunday's Cup race for his 35th career victory.

Kevin Harvick did on Sunday what he does so often at Phoenix International Raceway; he won.  Harvick led 139 laps including the last one as he and Carl Edwards bumped down the front stretch and Harvick emerged the winner by one one hundredth of a second at the finish line for the closest finish in the history of the series at the track.

High winds, rain, dust storms, dust devils - it was a wild day at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday.  In the end Brad Keselowski overcame a penalty for speeding on pit road to pass Kyle Busch with five laps to go and go on to his second win in the last three years in Sin City.

It was a fuel-mileage race that a number of drivers gambled on and lost including Joey Logano, who led 97 of 160 laps but finished 12th when he ran out gas with three laps to go.  Kyle Busch inherited the lead, but instead of winning his fourth straight race he ran out of gas too and didn't even make it back to the finish line.  The gas tank of Martin Truex, Jr. went dry too.

Three straight wins and four victories in the last five Sprint Cup races. Kyle Busch continued his incredible run when he battled his way to the lead, then held off Joey Logano on a green-white-checkered finish on Sunday to complete a weekend sweep at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  Busch also won the Xfinity race the day before.

Kyle Busch's incredible comeback continues.  After missing the first 11 races of the season with a broken leg and foot, Busch has won three of the last four races including Sunday's 5-Hour Energy 301 at New Hampshire.  After pitting earlier than the rest of the field for new tires, he took the lead on Lap 253 of 301 after the rest of the lead lap cars pitted one last time and held on to the finish

Even after missing 11 races while recovering from a broken leg and broken foot following a crash at Daytona in February, Kyle Busch can punch a ticket to the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship as long as he averages a 13th place finish over the next 10 races.  That should be enough to place him in the Top 30 of the Sprint Cup points standings to go along with his first victory of the season.  C

After two rain delays totaling more than six hours they did finally complete yesterday’s first Chase for the Cup race at Chicagoland Speedway. At the end it was Matt Kenseth winning his sixth race of the season to hold on to the points lead in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship with nine races left.
