NASCAR Preview For Pocono
The Sprint Cup Series runs at Pocono Raceway on Sunday while the Truck Series is at Texas. Sunday’s 500 mile race is the first of two stops this season at Pocono. They’ll be back again in August.
The last two Sprint Cup races have been decided by fuel stategy and this week it could be the same thing.
Last Sunday, Brad Keselowski gambled on fuel to win at Kansas, coasting as much as he could the last 9 laps and held off Dale Earnhardt Jr. for the victory.
NASCAR Update – Brad Keselowski Wins At Kansas
Tough luck again for Dale Earnhardt, Junior. Earnhardt looked like he might be able to make a charge in the final laps at Kansas, but it was Brad Keselowski who held on, leading the final 9 laps to win his first race of the year and end a 75-race winless streak
NASCAR Preview For Kansas Speedway
Coming off that disappointing finish at Charlotte last week, Dale Earnhardt, Junior and his fans can be optimistic because this season is beginning to look pretty similar to his 2008 season which happens to be the last season he made the Chase
Big NASCAR & Indy Car Races This Weekend
It’s my favorite weekend of the racing season with two big races back to back on Sunday starting with the 95th running of the Indy 500 followed by NASCAR’s longest race of the year – the Coca Cola 600 in Charlotte
Kyle Busch Ticketed For Speeding On Public Road
NASCAR driver Kyle Busch has gotten himself in trouble not only on the race track this season but off it of too. Busch was ticketed for speeding and reckless driving on Tuesday when he was clocked going 128 mph in a 45 mph zone in Statesville, NC, 30 miles north of Charlotte.
All-Star Race NASCAR Preview
A lot of money on the line Saturday night in the Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. With no points at stake, the strategy is simple. Do whatever it takes to win and collect the $1 million award
Matt Kenseth Wins At Dover
A pretty uneventful race at Dover yesterday and as it turns out so many times it’s pit strategy that pays off. For the guys that had the best cars, Carl Edwards, Jimmie Johnson and Clint Bowyer their decision to take four tires on the final pit stop put them too far back in the pack to get to the front again
NASCAR Preview For Dover
Sprint Cup, Nationwide and the Trucks....they're all racing this weekend at Dover's Monster Mile. It'll be interesting to see if the drivers can keep their emotions in check this week.
The last two weekends have featured the latest in a long streak of feuds. Ryan Newman was upset with Juan Pablo Montoya at Richmond and it boiled over before the race at Darlington and then Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick went at it after the race in Darlington.
NASCAR Report – Regan Smith Wins At Darlington
There were fireworks in the air and on the track following Saturday’s Sprint Cup race at Darlington Speedway. The biggest story was Regan Smith finally won his first career Cup race after starting a season-worst 23rd
Darlington NASCAR Preview
Both Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series drivers are under the lights this week at Darlington Raceway in South Carolina. Coming off a solid performance at his hometown track in Richmond, Denny Hamlin is looking forward to a good showing at Darlington in the Sprint Cup event Saturday night
Kyle Busch Makes It 3 In A Row At Richmond
Kyle Busch made it a 3-peat in the spring race at Richmond International Raceway Saturday night. He stretched his final tank of gas to 107 laps to beat teammate Denny Hamlin, denying Hamlin a weekend sweep at his home track.
Busch led 235 of the 400 laps at the ¾ mile track including the last 85 for his 21st career victory and second this season. The fuel strategy was so close, Busch couldn’t finish his victory burn-out. He had to be pushed to victory lane.
