Jamie McMurray says it's what every race car driver dreams about every day to be put in that position.  He was talking about holding the million dollar check that comes with winning the Sprint All Star race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He says he was even thinking about what he would do with the money if he won.  That was to send his kids to college.

Jeff Gordon's 89th career Cup victory at Kansas Speedway Saturday night makes him the 9th driver in 11 races this season to end up in victory lane.  It's his third victory at Kansas and he becomes the first winner of a night-time race at the track.  He not only holds on to his series points lead, but now he has a victory to go along with it.

Brantley Gilbert may not be a race car driver, but he'll be on the track at the Indianapolis 500.

It was a crazy night at Richmond International Raceway.  It began with pole sitter Kyle Larson being bumped by Clint Bowyer in the first turn of the first lap and ended with pushing and shoving and even a punch thrown in the pits after the race.  In between there were flaming tires, plenty of spins and the season's second two-time winner.

Kevin Harvick became the first two-time Cup winner this season by passing Dale Earnhardt, Jr. on the next to last lap in the second green, white, checkered event to win the Bojangles Southern 500 Saturday night at Darlington Speedway.  It all but assures him of a spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup Championship this fall as long he finished within the Top 30 in points.

Seven races and seven different winners so far in the Sprint Cup season.  Joey Logano looked like he'd easily win the rain-delayed Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway until Kurt Busch shredded a tire on the second-last lap forcing the seventh caution of the day.  It set up a green-white-checkered finish and big decision for all of the leaders.  Some took on two tires, some took four.  Read

Pretty intense start to the rain delayed Duck Commander 500 at Texas on Monday. Just a few laps in to the beginning of the race, Dale Earnhardt Jr's car struck the infield grass and sent his #88 Chevy into the wall causing the car to burst in to flames.

It's not too often that Jimmie Johnson dominates a race, especially at Martinsville and loses.  That's exactly what happened on Sunday when Johnson led 296 of the 500 laps at the half mile track but came in second to Kurt Busch.

Five Sprint Cup races so far this season and five different winners.  Kyle Busch came from the back of the pack during a green-white-checkered finish to win at Auto Club Speedway in California, just holding off Kyle Larson who came in second.

It took more than eight hours to complete because of two rain delays, but they finished under the lights at Bristol Motor Speedway and in the end it was Carl Edwards taking the checkered flag for his first victory since Richmond last September and third career win at Bristol.

It was a weekend sweep for Brad Keselowski at Las Vegas Motor Speedway taking Saturday's Nationwide race then taking the lead on the final lap in Sunday's Sprint Cup race when Dale Earnhardt, Jr. ran out of gas.  Junior appeared to be on his way to his second victory of the season until he was forced into fuel-saving mode.

A dominating day for Kevin Harvick at Phoenix International Raceway.  He had the best car in both of Saturday's two practice sessions, then moved through the field from his 13th starting spot to take the lead. He led an amazing 224 of 312 laps for his fifth career win at Phoenix and first for his new Stewart-Haas Racing team.
