			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>His name is Matthew Mondoux.  He’s a Grand Island native and after serving in Afghanistan he returned home to find out a good friend was diagnosed with ALS – Lou Gehrig’s disease.   </p>
<p>Beginning this Sunday, July 10th, Mondoux will be heading to New York City and he’s walking it - 350 miles from Grand Island Veterans Park to Yankee Stadium, a trip he expects to take 12 days to complete.  And during the trip he’ll be wearing a custom-made Lou Gehrig uniform and the Yankees hat he took with him to both Iraq and Afghanistan.</p>
