Sabres Fans From Austria See Only 30 Seconds Of Playoff Game

It just killed me to read in the Buffalo News about the father and son from Austria who planned a trip to Buffalo to see Thomas Vanek and the Sabres for Game Four Wednesday night in their playoff series against the Flyers only to arrive with just 30 seconds left in the game.  The two started to plan for their trip April 8th after the Sabres clinched a playoff spot but because of the weather they were stuck in New Jersey as the game began.  When they finally arrived in Buffalo the third period was already underway.  They grabbed a taxi and when they arrived at HSBC Arena time was winding down.  When they finally got to their seats they got to experience the final 30 seconds of the Sabres' 1-0 victory.

Miller Vs. Briere [Video]

I was broken hearted the day that I heard that Danny Briere was leaving the Buffalo Sabres.  He's now in Philadelphia and that alone is making this series worth every minute to watch.  Its strange to think that Ryan Miller and Daniel Briere who were friends for years would suddenly have to become opponents but it's great to see two incredible players going after each other.  Wednesday night, Ryan Miller got the upper hand.  Check out his amazing save here.

Big Win For The Sabres In Carolina

The Buffalo Sabres came thru with a clutch win in Carolina to move into seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings with 3 games left in the regular season.  Defenseman Marc Andre Gragnani scored with just over two minutes left in overtime to give the Sabres a 2 to 1 victory.  It was his first goal of the season and another Sabres defenseman also scored his first of the season to give Buffalo a first period lead.  Chris Butler's snap shot opened the scoring only to see the Hurricanes come back to tie it in the second period setting up overtime.

Dale’s Daily Data: How Cold Is The Ice?

The Sabres were in Montreal last night and I got to thinking about the game itself.  What’s the most important element of the game other than the players?  It’s the ice.  At the beginning of a game the ice is clean and the players call it fast

Thoughts On Sabres Legend Rick Martin

I was so sad to hear of the passing of NHL Hall of Famer and Sabres great Rick Martin yesterday.  He died of an apparent heart attack while driving on Main Street in Clarence.  And the news was eerily similar to the death of Sabres defenseman Tim Horton who was killed in car crash in St

There has been some talk that Mike Fisher who plays for the Ottawa Senator’s may be traded to the Nashville Predator’s NHL team.   In his contract, it states that Mike does have some say as to where he ends up.  According to BleacherReport.com this particular trade would be a pricey one, but it would mean a lot less time commuting for both Mike and his wife Carrie Underwood.

What’s The Story With The Sabres?

First Larry Quinn said that the team was not going to be sold and there was no letter of intent for a purchase......blah, blah, blah.  But many media outlets are claiming otherwise.
