The first of four presidential debates for the 2012 election took place tonight at the University of Denver and it was one of the first times we could see President Obama go head to head with Governor Mitt Romney without teleprompters.

ESPN reacted quickly to controversial comments made by Hank Williams, Jr. Monday morning when he compared President Obama to Hitler.  He was being interviewed on "Fox and Friends" when he first criticized the Republican candidates for president then said House majority leader John Boehner's golf game with President Obama was a "huge mistake". ...

Clay and I stumbled over it a couple of times and as it turned out it was a simple enough mistake to make based on the number of even network announcers who made the same mistake.   It was jumbling Osama and Obama in reporting the death of Osama bin Laden - but at least I didn't say President Obama was dead like the guy in the first clip did.  AOL put together a compilation of some of the flubs -

President Obama unveiled his deficit reduction plan on Wednesday that calls for spending cuts and tax increases that he claims will cut the federal deficit by $4-trillion over the next 12 years.  Most importantly he said it can be done without cutting Medicare and Medicaid programs.
