It's almost here! The Ride For Roswell is this Friday and Saturday. There is still time to help! It is has been circled on my calender for a long time, and I can't wait to get the festivities started this Friday at UB.

Over the last few weeks, we've asked to see your favorite pair of jeans for our Blue Jean Babes contest. It's not that far away! The Ride For Roswell is always a huge success. This year, WYRK is a big part of the weekend, and I will also be riding this year. As an added bonus, the opening ceremonies on Friday, June 21 will be capped off by a rare Western New York appearance from LeAnn Rimes!

If you love coffee and can’t go a day without it, you can help Roswell Park while quenching your craving. Today (Wednesday, May 22), $1 from every Iced Coffee sold at Dunkin’ Donuts will be donated to Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

It's going to be here before we know it. The 18th annual Ride For Roswell is June 21-22, and I am honored to be a part of this wonderful event this year. I am not only hosting the opening ceremonies on Friday the 21, I am also riding the 104-mile route on the 22. So, what can you do to get involved?

Over the course of the last six to nine months we have been collecting autographs from all the country music stars that have come through Western New York.  Artists like Toby Keith, Keith Urban, Kid Rock and more have all signed a special Roswell Park pink acoustic guitar. It's a  big weekend for fans of Lance Armstrong that live in Buffalo. The SEVEN time winner of the Tour De France will be at University Of Buffalo Saturday night. It is part of the UB Distinguished Speaker Series and Lance took to twitter to mention Buffalo.

If you've been to any of the country music concerts in Buffalo over the past year some of these names will sound familiar to you.  WYRK has been taking this Pink Roswell Park guitar to concerts for the past several months asking country artists to autograph it and we're not done yet.

It sure is hard to believe that October has less than a week left. Breast cancer awareness month is flying on by. We had a chance to speak to one of the surgeons from Roswell Park today about early detection and what if any steps can be taken to prevent the onset of breast cancer.
