Carl Edwards Wins The Sprint Cup All-Star Race

Unlike a lot of Sprint Cup races have gone this season Saturday night’s All-Star race wasn’t all that exciting. Carl Edwards had the best car winning three of the four segments including the 10-lap “dash for the cash” and took home the $1.2-million grand prize. He was the first into the pits for the mandatory 4-tire change before the final 10 laps and was the first one out then got a great re-start and the rest of the field couldn’t catch up. For Edwards it was his first Sprint Cup All-Star race victory and he celebrated by tearing up his car. It looked like he wanted to do some kind of slide thru the infield grass but it appeared he hit something nearly causing his car to flip. So he had to do his signature back-flip off his wrecked car near the finish line.
