On Monday night (August 4), fans and WYRK Country Club members were treated to an exclusive acoustic performance by Sugarland's Kristian Bush at Mickey Rats. Kristian played some Sugarland hits and some of his new solo stuff too.
Sugarland was hardly Jennifer Nettles' first successful musical enterprise. She fronted the Jennifer Nettles Band prior to becoming part of the now-famous group. But before that, she was one-half of a duo that MTV called "the next big band from Athens, Ga." There are some stunning similarities and differences between her current sound and the music she created as part of Soul Miner's Daughter.
Sugarland frontwoman Jennifer Nettles, announced via Twitter on Monday (Nov. 5) that her solo album finally has a release date. The album, 'That Girl,' will be Nettles' first without her Sugarland bandmate Kristian Bush and is set for release on Jan. 14.
For the first summer in nearly a decade, Kristian Bush didn't tour with Sugarland, as the duo is on hiatus. This meant more time to write, pursue solo projects and just be a dad again. The co-founder of country's most successful duo since Brooks and Dunn says he's rolling all three of those jobs into one enjoyable ball -- and loving it.
American fans of Sugarland star Kristian Bush's solo material have been begging him to release 'Love or Money' at iTunes, and he's been paying attention. Thursday's (Oct. 10) release will be his first official release as a solo artist since ... umm, maybe ever?
The company that provided insurance for the equipment used by Sugarland and Sara Bareilles at the Indiana State Fair in August 2011 is suing the state and several others for damages. The lawsuit seeks monetary compensation to cover equipment harmed during the and after the stage collapse.
Approximately 60 people affected by the stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair two years ago will get their day in court this winter. A trial date has been set for those looking to hold Sugarland and the companies responsible for building the stage accountable.
Sugarland's Kristian Bush can now add a new job title to his resume: video game character creator. Or ... something like that. The Grammy-winning singer joined forces with Big Blue Bubble, Inc. to create a new character for My Singing Monsters, the company's award-winning musical video game.
