October 15, 2012 I have seen far too many of these videos. The ones where people take their feelings and write them out on cards. They’re called “Notecard Confessional” videos. They sometimes tell stories just one sentence at a time. More often than not, the stories do not end happily.
September 16, 2011 Three years ago on May 13, 2008, I lost my best friend to suicide. Nobody expected it (as you hear all the time) but it still happened. Did you know there are sometimes warning signs that can help to prevent suicide? If you just said no, then that's why I'm walking tomorrow.
May 13, 2011 May 13th, 2008. It was just another day. It was beautiful outside. Nice and sunny. I got up and took the kids to the park. It was a normal day. We headed over to McDonald’s to celebrate the sun for lunch. As I sat there I thought about the conversation that I had with my friend the day before. He was pretty shook up over a recent breakup and had been calling a lot for advice from me.
