The Simpsons

In the "weird coincidences" file, we've got this cartoon, which was first published in 1949 in a magazine in Iceland. Yeah, they look fairly similar... but wait until you see the whole cartoon.

Matt Groening has finally revealed where the idea for "Springfield" came from.  If you are not familiar with one of the most popular animated TV shows of all time, Springfield is the town where The Simpsons live.  Groening told the "Smithsonian" magazine that the town was based on.....

First it was the ever-so-popular girls doll "Barbie", now it's the entire cast of "The Simpsons.....BANNED IN IRAN!!  Officials with the Islamic Republic say the dolls representing the cartoon family are no longer welcome in their country.

America’s First Dysfunctional Family has the biggest affection for Halloween, since it happens during sweeps. But it also has taken on the most wonderful time of the year more than once, so we thought we’d present a few fun ‘Simpsons’ GIFs and videos to celebrate the season. Or at least be honest about it. (WARNING: Animated holiday merriment below.)

The game was great, the commercials were pretty good, but the halftime show left plenty to be desired...
