It's one thing if you're a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, quite another if you're a fan of the Buffalo Sabres.  The Maple Leafs scored three goals in a span of only 43 seconds Monday night early in the first period and for all intents and purposes the game was over.  The Leafs went on to beat the Sabres 4-2, but the final score doesn't indicate how lopsided the game actually was.

Embarrassing.  The Buffalo Sabres just weren't ready to play against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday night and it cost them.  The Leafs scored three straight goals in a span of just 43 seconds early in the first period and the Sabres never recovered in a 4-2 loss.

For the sixth year in a row the Buffalo Sabres won't be going to the playoffs, but it sure felt like a playoff atmosphere Saturday night at KeyBank Center when the Sabres hosted the Toronto Maple Leafs.  And it sounded as if there were as many Leafs fans as Sabres fans in the building with equally loud chants of "Let's Go Buffalo" and "Go Leafs, Go".

In likely what was their best opening 20 minutes of the season the Buffalo Sabres opened up a 3-0 lead on the Toronto Maple Leafs and held on for a 3-1 win Saturday night in Toronto.  Evander Kane scored twice to up his team-leading goal total to 18, Sam Reinhart scored on the power play and Jack Eichel assisted on all three goals.

A combination of bad luck and shaky goaltending contributed to the Buffalo Sabres 4-3 loss in Toronto on Tuesday night.  The Sabres were up 2-0 on goals by Kyle Okposo and Evander Kane when the Leafs began their comeback 32 seconds into the second period when they scored the first of four straight goals.

It was one of those games where the better team was beaten by an even better goaltender.  Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Frederik Anderson stopped 42 of 43 shots to lead the Leafs past the Buffalo Sabres at Key Bank Center on Thursday night.

For the second game in a row the Buffalo Sabres built an early 3-0 lead, but unlike their game in Pittsburgh, the Sabres this time held on for a 4-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.  Cal O'Reilly and Johann Larsson both scored twice to lead the scoring.  Ryan O'Reilly drew an assist on his brother Cal's first goal marking the first time in Sabres history that two brothers combined on a Buffalo go

Buffalo Sabres rookie Jack Eichel was too sick to play in Saturday night's game against the Maple Leafs in Toronto.  His absence, plus having played a game the night before while the Leafs enjoyed the night off was just too much for the Buffalo Sabres.  The Sabres turned in their worst effort in more than a month in a 4-1 loss.

The last time the Buffalo Sabres won a game in a shoot-out was back in October when they beat Toronto.  Since then the Sabres had lost six straight shoot-outs until Monday night when they beat the Leafs again.  Sam Reinhart's shoot-out goal was the difference as Chad Johnson stopped all three Toronto shooters to clinch the 4-3 victory.

The fans certainly got their money's worth.  The Buffalo Sabres gave the effort, they got plenty of shots, but couldn't find the net until Evander Kane finally scored his first goal of the season and the Sabres first goal of the game with under five minutes to play in Wednesday night's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.  It tied the game at 1-1, setting up overtime and a shootout where the Sabr

A few months back a video went viral of Canadians at a Leafs vs Predators game in Toronto finishing the "Start Spangled Banner" when the singers mic went out. It was a touching moment from our neighbors up north and we noticed! To show their appreciation, the fans at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville returned the favor when the singers mic was intentionally cut during, "O Canada... Rea

It had come to the point where going to Buffalo Sabres games just wasn't fun anymore. Some season ticket holders ended up just giving away their tickets, and they had a hard time convincing people to take them. I had come to the point where I dreaded going to games because I couldn't stand watching the Sabres sleepwalk through games.
