UB Athletics

I was a student at UB when the football team joined the MAC and became a Division 1-A team.  So it's sad to hear now that the University of Buffalo will be cutting four athletic teams after the spring season.

Due to the impeding weather, all Stampede Square events scheduled for Thursday night ahead of Buffalo's football game against Akron have been cancelled. This includes the Chris Lane concert. If you haven't heard it already, The UB men's basketball team has made it to the NCAA's Division I men's basketball tournament.  They will be taking on West Virginia this Friday at 2:10pm.  Today they sent out a video to say thank you for the support, ask for more support and tell you that they're ready to represent Buffalo.

I've been talking all year about how exciting UB Men's Basketball games are this year.  This is just more proof.  Last night's game against Ohio garnered some national attention not just once on ESPN's Top 10 List, but twice!
