I am one of the biggest fans of a good old fashioned Buffalo winter. I love snow. The way I see it, if you are gonna live where we do you better find yourself a hobby to enjoy during winter. It makes the time go faster and it will help to fight against the season affect disorders that we keep hearing about. This year has been all but good for us snow lovers. It hurts more than just my need for snow. It is starting to take a toll on Western New York in many ways!

It's an annual event at the Buffalo Airport. The crew that handles snow removal holds a fun event call the 'Equipment Rodeo." Airfield Superintendent Tom Dames ( Marine Corps Pilot Ret.) gives his award winning crew a chance to show off their skills and "practice" for the upcoming snow season.I had a chance to be a part of it today. Of all the things I have covered, this ranks close to the top as one of the most unique and exciting things I have seen.Thanks to Brad Hohman for taking the time to film and photograph this.

Pepper and I had a chance to get outside and go for a stroll around the park today. It was windy as all get out but the sun was shining so bright I just couldn't sit in the house all day. After walking around for a few minutes we spotted this snowman that someone had built. Remember when you were a kid? Making snowmen became an adventure.
