This morning ‘American Idol’ winner Scotty McCreery and runner up Lauren Alaina stopped by the ‘Today’ show and performed the Randy Travis/Carrie Underwood hit “I Told You So”.  The two have been inseparable since last week’s finale and rumors have been flying that there are dating.  My guess is they’re close but probably not involved romantically.

Last week I was heartbroken to find out that Christopher Meloni was leaving “Law & Order SVU” and now today word is Patrick Dempsey will leave “Greys Anatomy" after next season.   Dr. “McDreamy” Shepherd will apparently check out of the hospital after being with the show since it began in 2005. Dempsey spoke with the Italian edition of Vanity Fair and spilled the beans.

I think one of the best music shows on television is CMT ‘Crossroads’.  I’m so excited about the next episode.  Luke Bryan teams with the legendary Doobie Brothers on CMT Crossroads Friday June 24th.  I’ll be ready to sing along to this one.  Luke and the Doobie Brothers will tackle songs like “Rain is a Good Thing”, “China Grove”, “Do I” and “Long Train Runnin’”.

What a great idea Taylor Swift had to help tornado victims in the south.  Taylor and fans raised $750,000 on Saturday at the Nashville Bridgestone Arena.  Taylor has been rehearsing for her Speak Now tour and decided to open the ‘dress rehearsal’ to 13,000 fans.  So instead of rehearsing to an empty arena, fans were able to watch her and donate money to the victims of the recent storms in the sout

I've always been a huge fan of Martina McBride.  As far as I'm concerned she has the best voice in country music.  I was honored to be invited to her home this past March during the country radio seminar in Nashville.  Martina was kind enough to open her home to a few country programmers for a few hours.

The other night I was running the water in my kitchen sink and noticed a stream of water running down my driveway.  I went outside to find out where it was coming from and I saw that the water was pouring out from under the siding.  I thought could it be coming from the sink?  I went back inside, turned off the faucet and sure enough the water stopped.
