The 28th annual Taste of Buffalo is underway in downtown Buffalo.  Along Delaware Avenue from Chippewa Street to Niagara Square 50 restaurants and 7 wineries offer samples from their menus.  Many restaurants are familiar names in Western New York, but each year there are a few new ones and that's the idea.  The Taste gives you a chance to sample items from restaurants you've never been to before so that you may want to check it out sometime in the future.

Our producer Josh and I were asked to be food judges this year.  We both were handed a clipboard and assigned to sample all the food items at five restaurants.  Word to the wise - pace yourself.  That's a lot of food in a short time.  We both just wanted to take a nap afterward.

This is the 28th annual Taste of Buffalo, the 2nd largest event of its kind in the country and over the years it's expanded to include live music, cooking demonstrations and even a brief parade down Delaware to kick off the event.

WYRK is set up in Niagara Square in front of city hall during the duration of the event.  Stop by and say hi to the guys.
