It’s become a regular way for new artists to break through in music; reality singing competitions like American Idol, The Voice and X Factor are watched by millions.  That’s a good thing for an artist who’s trying to make it in the industry.

Season 2 winner of the X Factor, Tate Stevens, stopped by Santora’s yesterday (April 10) to play for WYRK listeners and fans that voted for him to win the show.  Ironically, Tate mentioned that his wife ultimately was the person who persuaded him to try out for the show. I’m guessing he is glad she did.

Tate is a down-to-earth, what-you-see-is-what-you-get artist, and I mean that in the best possible way. Tate isn’t flashy nor would he want to be, but he has a voice that gives you goose bumps. This guy has pipes and personality.
