Tax Free Gas Available in Niagara Falls,NY

It's all new for Niagara Falls. The Seneca Nation has announced that today (Friday) is the grand opening of their newest gas station.

For a few months, applicants have been reviewed and the final touches have been added to the convenience store which is the first store to be built for the Seneca One Stop chains in 25 years.

In March of 2016, there was some push back from the Niagara Falls Chamber.  According to a report ran in The Niagara Gazette,

"While we respect the rights of a sovereign nation, the negative impact that a tax-free gas station would have on local convenience stores, businesses and the city and county would be devastating," members of the chamber wrote.

The new store (formerly the site of Pizza Hut) is located on sovereign land and will feature discounted gas and a full service store.
