I don't like drama, and with Tebow and the Broncos, this season has had more drama than I can handle. Everyone knows who Tebow is and for months he has been the talk of the nation. Many topics regarding Tebow have been talked about including his religious beliefs, his personal life, his college career plus his leadership skills and lack of football skills. Most fans including myself believe that Tebow is not a franchise quarterback and does not have the football skills to be a long term successful quarterback in the NFL. I will admit his however that what Tim Tebow has accomplished this season since being named the starting quarterback for the Broncos is interesting.

Tim Tebow played his college football in Florida for the Gators and won the Heisman Trophy as a sophmore in 2008. Tebow was drafted in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Broncos. This season after the Broncos started the season with a losing record the quarterback regins were handed to Tebow after the Broncos released Kyle Orton who later in the season ended up in Kansas City. This season Tebow led the team to many close overtime wins and today's game had another dramatic ending.

Coming off a three game losing streak, Tebow and the Broncos made the playoffs this year and won their division with an 8-8 record which mean't the Broncos would play their first playoff game at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Heading into the game on Sunday we knew the Steelers were a banged up group of guys, there were a bunch of injuries including Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's ankle. The game started slow as I figured that it would with the Steelers kicking a couple of field goals. Then the Broncos scored and then scored again, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. At halftime the Broncos were leading the Steelers 20-6. But it was far from over, the Steelers did make a comeback in the second half to tie the game after the Broncos scored an additional three points in the second half.  The game goes to overtime tied at 23 and all it took was one play for 80 yards for Tebow and the Broncos to win and move ahead in the playoffs!

This is the dramatic ending that people have gotten used to seeing with Tebow leading his team to wins throughout the season. Tebow is proving the doubters wrong with his amazing wins and with his leadership he has shown all season long. I was disappointed that the Broncos won because I was rooting for the Steelers. Both teams gave the great effort but luck was on Tebow's side. Next up for the Broncos in the playoffs is the New England Patriots. With Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Wes Welker and the Patriots coming off the bye week it'll be tough for Tebow and the Broncos to pull of a big win next week, but I guess you never really know as the Steelers were the favorite in the game today.

Let me add one more thing, I was rooting for the Steelers because my team, the Bills for the 12th season in a row are not in the playoffs. You have to have a backup team as Buffalo fans know. I am also disappointed that the Broncos won becuase of the running back Willis McGahee that helped them win the game. Remember Wills? He played for the Bills back in the early 2000's. He trashed Buffalo before leaving to play for the Ravens, Bills fans may forgive but they don't forget!
