Unyts and The Shawnee Volunteer Fire Co. to Host Annual “Brandon Kupiec Memorial” Community Blood Drive and Raffle today from 1-7pm in Sanborn at the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Co (3747 Lockport Rd).

In an email to Clay and I, MaryBeth talked about the reason for the blood drive in her son's name,

"After our sons sudden passing at the age of 20 in 2013, The Kupiec family felt compelled to keep Brandon’s legacy going in a way we knew would reflect his caring and giving life. An avid blood donor since the age of 16, Brandon could continue to give through community support of a UNYTS Blood Drive named in his memory. "

The goal of the family every year is to collect 100 pints of blood and last year they almost hit their goal. Let's help them hit their goal this year and donate!

Each donor who presents will receive a free hot dog lunch, two flex pass vouchers for a Buffalo Bisons Baseball game, and a sheet of raffle tickets. There will be a large basket raffle as well, supporting a welding scholarship in Brandon's name awarded to a local high school student who shares the gift of welding. Another one of Brandon's passions.... a hand welded garden arbor will be raffled off, this was made by the Niagara Orleans 2018 B.O.C.E.S welding class, along with an Adirondack chair set, Buffalo Sabres memorabilia, and much more...
