Buffalo Zoo Welcomes African Lion Cub to the Family

The Buffalo Zoo announced today that they are welcoming a new member to their family. A baby male lion cub was born on March 5th to a African Lioness. That means today the baby lion is a cute seven weeks old! It was also announced that other lionesses were showing signs of pregnancy.

This little fella is the only one out of four cubs that survived. He is the first cub born at the Buffalo Zoo in 25 years! Reporters at the zoo said that his father, Tiberius, was showing off for the media this morning.

The Buffalo Zoo also said that the baby cub will probably not stay in Buffalo for very long and will probably be transferred to another zoo down the road.
