The Hourly Rate For A Babysitter Is…..

A good baby sitter is hard to find!..So I hear.  No kids yet for me, but when I do, believe me, the babysitter will be screened and paid well.  How much do you pay your babysitter per hour?  I wouldn't even know a good starting point.  $10.00??  $12.00?

According to this tidbit in our prep today, the average hourly rate in the U.S. is..... $12.75.  New York City parents dole out the most, giving their sitters $15.50 per hour.  The lowest rate is found in St. Louis, where parents shell out only $10.00.  This article also said that college grads can earn up to $22.00/hour because they usually have more experience.
