I love minor league baseball, you can do so much more there to bring entertainment between the innings. Crazy antics in the outfield and hilarious give aways are just par for the course. However, I haven't heard of going this far yet. The Trenton Thunder have a new member this year and it has for legs and is ready to fetch! In reading about this I found out that the team has employed a bat dog for years and "Rookie" is the pup of their old bat dog! Rookie is quite ready for the season, but training is going well.

The Times Of Trenton captured some of Rookies, "Spring Training":

When Rookie get his first start, he will be the first third-generation bat dog in history! Which...is kind of awesome. You can read the full story on Rookie and the Trenton Thunder from Big League Stew.
