Kim and Terry Pegula may have changed Buffalo forever when they purchased the Buffalo Sabres.  Then they added the Buffalo Bills, The Buffalo Bandits, The Rochester Americans, and now...the Buffalo Beauts.

The Buffalo Beauts joined the  National Womens Hockey League when it was formed in 2015.  In March they won the championship and brought home the Isobel cup after beating the Boston Pride.

Today they have another reason to celebrate.  They have a new owner.

The Pegulas have announced that they have purchased the championship hockey team.

“We want to contribute to the growth of women’s hockey,” Kim Pegula said in a released statement. “HarborCenter has allowed us to make a positive impact on the game at the amateur, high school and collegiate levels, and we believe this is the perfect time to expand our reach to include women’s professional hockey through the NWHL. This sport provides outstanding opportunities, and we are committed to helping extend those opportunities to females of all ages.”

According to WGRZ, there are only 4 home games left for the Beauts after the holiday break.  Get your tickets here.
