The Rapping Granny From ‘The Wedding Singer’ Has Died At 101
Ellen Albertini Dow has been in our hearts for years! From Golden Girls all the way to The Wedding Singer she has had a steady place in Hollywood for years. She passed away Monday at 101 years old.
In 2003, when she was 99, she had roles in New Girl and Family Guy. She was also famous for her roles in Seinfeld, My Name Is Earl, Six Feet Under and Scrubs. However, her most famous role was the rapping granny in The Wedding Singer where her rendition of Rappers Delight made it to the Billboard Top 5.
She also had a lovely singing voice too.
Another bright light in Hollywood has dimmed.
