Imagine my surprise on Saturday morning when I went to my Google page on my computer. I learned that January 28, 2012 is the 125th anniversary of the largest snowflake ever seen! OK, I admit it...this got my attention. Perhaps now it has your curiosity!

Ah, the Internet...where else would we learn so much? Perhaps Hallmark missed a great opportunity to sell some cards. Imagine being able to tell someone you think they are the "biggest flake" in your life?

Oh, in case you're wondering, the celebrated flake measured around 15 inches in diameter. That's about the size of a dinner plate or a Frisbee! But wait...now you need to know the anniversary date of the Wham-O invention! Don't worry, I "Googled" it! According to the world's largest toy company, Mattel, who purchased Wham-O in 1994, they date the Frisbee's official birth as 1957 when it was first known as "The Pluto Platter"...but I guess that's a story for another time.
