A billboard near the road details: "Built in 1989. Floor area 51 inches by 81 inches (28.68 square feet). Seats two people. Non-denominational. Dedicated as a witness to God."

Cross Island Chapel has served as a chapel for numerous weddings, only accommodating the Minister, Bride and Groom. The wedding party attended the services by surrounding the chapel in boats. This is AMAZING!!! Would you consider having a wedding at this chapel?

It's definitely unique and with the water surrounding the small building it might be kind of beautiful. Maybe they'd let you put candles in the water and have a dusk ceremony....of course, then you have to worry about mosquitoes.

Either way, it's pretty cool that we have this landmark so close to home!
