The WYRK Meat Raffle Was A Huge Success

WYRK has so many people to thank for making our Meat Raffle to Benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital an ASTOUNDING SUCCESS!

This is something that we have wanted to do for a long time now and we finally were able to put one together. It's an event so unique to WNY, and our only goal was to give away meat, have a blast and raise a bunch of money and awareness for St. Jude!

We packed 300 people into the Armor Fire Hall in Hamburg (and we can't thank them enough for hosting--everything was PERFECT) and spun our giant wheel until we had given away nearly 200 packages of shrimp, steak, chicken, sausages, and of course 50 turkeys courtesy of our friends at Super Price Choppers! We also had plenty of support from our friends at Try-It Distributing to ensure everyone had a great time.

We also had raffles going all night, and gave away things like Taste of Country 20 field tickets and artist meet and greets, Buffalo experience packages and even a massive cooler provided by Camping World FILLED with meat provided by Hoelscher Meats.

We raised an absolutely incredible amount of money in just a couple hours, and we could not have done that without the support of the WYRK universe. This kind of generosity is a Western New York staple, and we are so grateful to everyone who donated, volunteered and has supported St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at our Meat Raffle and throughout the year!
