These Foods Will Be "Trendy" For 2018

Food is having it's moment, while it's always been important to us, unique food is now in and people are becoming more adventurous in their choices. In a recent report from Upserve, a restaurant management platform, they discussed menu items that will be "hot" for 2018. This was based on data collected form over 3,000 restaurants staring in 2015. In an article from Moneyish, the "Jackfruit was up in popularity by 131% in 2017".

So what's the hottest item to look for on the menu this year? The Jackfruit. It has been the top selling item this year and is commonly used a vegan meat replacement. The jackfruit comes form trees in Southeast Asia, Africa and Brazil and carries a neutral flavor. Expect to see this food a lot more when you go to look at your menu this year!

Foods that aren't going to be trending in 2018 include poke, Naan pizza and yoghurt items, to name a few. These have been on the decline in sales reports according to Unpserve.
