This Week, Both John And Amber Glyshaw Are the Hometown Heroes of the Week

It’s time once again for our Hometown Hero, brought to you by Batavia Downs Gaming with help from our friends at WNY Heroes who help us with our nominations every week.  This week, we have multiple Hometown Heroes.  They are from Gasport, NY.  From our United States Air Force, it’s John and Amber Glyshaw!

John and Amber Glyshaw were married in Alaska in 2003 while both serving active duty in the United States Air Force in Security Forces. Amber served 2002 to 2006 and John served 2000 to present on his last enlistment. They have 3 young children, Abigail, Garrett, and Samuel.  They are also sole caretakers of Johns father who has severe dementia. Between them they have 3 deployments as war veterans serving in southeast Asia and Iraq. Both served as Security Forces members/leaders throughout their careers. They also served on the front lines in the desert fighting the war on terror.
