Thomas (TJ) Eckard Is This Week’s Hometown Hero

It’s time once again for our Hometown Hero, brought to you by Batavia Downs Gaming with help from our friends at WNY Heroes who help us with our nominations every week.  This week, our Hometown Hero is from Buffalo, NY.  It’s Air Force Staff Sergeant Thomas Eckard!

According to his nomination, he goes by TJ.  He was born and raised in Buffalo, NY, and is deployed to Iraq while he serves in the Air Force. He’s described as an amazing young man! He is always positive and looks at the good things in life. He keeps his head up and works really hard.

His nominator said, “I am so proud of everything he does for me and our country. His motivation and positivity drives me to be a better person everyday. I really appreciate his sacrifice!!”

We appreciate his sacrifice too.  This week, we are proud to name Thomas (TJ) Eckard our Hometown Hero of the week!
