Today In Country Music History: Alabama Goes For Three

With the CMA's quickly approaching, it's kind of weird to think that it's been almost 30 years since Alabama won their very first Entertainer Of The Year Award from the CMA.  They also won 2 other awards that year...

It was October 10th, 1982 and Alabama had just released their "Mountain Music" CD which had the singles "Mountain Music", "Close Enough To Perfect", and "Take Me Down" on it.

They brought home a lot of hardware that night by winning Instrumental Group, Vocal Group, and the coveted Entertainer Of The Year awards.
