If you've got a little kid in your life that loves trucks, they're going to love this event.  It's Explore & More's Touch A Truck event at Canalside.

The idea behind the event is to let kids safely get up close to the huge machines that they're used to seeing from afar.

While they normally shouldn't be around vehicles this big (because operators often cannot see them when they are in motion), this opportunity will get them right up close to - and even inside - some of the trucks that they've only been able to see from a distance.

According to Buffalo Rising, this is the 8th year for the event and it'll take place this year on Sunday,  June 11 from 11am to 4pm in the Buffalo News Parking Lot on Scott Street.

Other events include:

  • Pinewood derby
  • Physical fun with Jump Bunch
  • Learning fun with the Library’s book mobile
  • Face painting
  • Food trucks
  • A hot dog stand
  • Visits from Sabretooth, Billy Buffalo and Rax the Bandit
