Training Update: Buffalo Half Marathon
I told you a couple weeks ago that I was going to be running the Buffalo Half Marathon on May 29th. Which means that as of today, I'm a month away from the big day. This is just an update on my progress. I’m up to running 8 miles on my long run with conditioning runs of 5 miles. But don’t think that I’m breezing through them. My last couple runs I’ve really been struggling.
Every time I start a run, I feel really good about it. Right up until I hit that 3 mile mark. Then I don’t know if it’s my short attention span telling my body that I want to do something else or if I’m really getting tired but after that 3 mile mark, I start realizing that I don’t really care to run anymore. But now I’m 3 miles from home and have to make it back somehow.
Anyone want to remind me why we do this again?
