Two NY Hunters Die on Opening Weekend in Separate Incidents

Opening day of the firearms season was Saturday. Two hunters are dead after unrelated incidents.

The first hunter, in his 80's, fell from a tree stand and died in the town West Sparta.

The second hunter, also in Livingston County, was killed in a separate incident on Sunday morning.

As of Monday morning, no other information about the incident was available. Neither death is considered suspicious.
