Make it twelve straight losses for the Bills at New England’s Gillette Stadium.  As they usually do, the Bills fell to the Patriots to close the season with a 34-20 loss.

They were missing quarterback E J Manuel and Stevie Johnson for the game and Marcel Dareus for the first half after he was benched for the second week in a row for violating team rules.  Without Dareus in the lineup the Patriots ran for 173 yards in the first half with Lagarette Blount accounting for 118, then he killed the Bills with two long second half kickoff returns.

Dareus made a huge impact in his return to the lineup in the second half by going offside during a Patriots field goal attempt.  It gave the Patriots a first down and scored on the next play to go up by two touchdowns and essentially ending the Bills chances in the game.

With Manuel out for the second week in a row with a knee injury Thad Lewis threw for 247 yards and a touchdown.  C-J Spiller ran for 105 yards.  Fred Jackson ran for 60 yards and a touchdown.

The Bills end the season 6-10 and last in the AFC East.  With the win the Patriots earn a first round bye in the playoffs.
