Four hundred cities around the world are sharing in the frozen fun. Efforts to bring Uber to Buffalo and the rest of upstate New York are at a stand still, and at this point in time it doesn't look like Uber will be in Buffalo any time soon. However, on Friday Uber has figured a way promote itself in cities to highlight the benefits Uber could bring to them.

Buffalo, the capital region and Utica are among more than 400 cities worldwide that are taking part in this year’s #UberIceCream Day.

Users of the Uber mobile app can request to have free Magnum ice cream bars delivered to them between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Friday. If you don’t already have an account, download it at Uber.com for iPhone or Android to get started.

We'd like to see your pictures if you get an ice cream delivery. Just send us them on Twitter and Instagram @1065wyrk using the the hashtag #UberIceCreamDay.
