In an article in the Buffalo News, Assemblywoman Crystal Peoples-Stokes was quoted as saying "Uber is definitely coming."  But the big question is, how long will we have to wait.

It could be months.  They already have it in New York City.

The NYS Assembly gathered yesterday to finalize and approve a final state budget.  They talked about just about everything from rising college costs to the ride hailing industry.

According to the article, the Assembly pushed for a statewide set of regulations to govern the ride sharing, internet based ride hailing industry on Wednesday.

The tentative agreement would put the option in the counties' hands to opt out.  However, one of the big questions left is how much the government  would collect per ride.
