UPDATE: Police Confirm Needles Found In Halloween Candy

It's something that our parents warned us about when we were kids and made sure they checked our candy for it, but this year it was a reality for a family in Hamburg.

The first announcement came after someone posted that they found a needle in their nephew's candy in Hamburg.

The post from Ashley Schweitzer said:

"Attention!!❗❗ anyone living in the village of Hamburg area please make sure you check your children's candy my nephew found sewing needles skewered between two pieces of Whoppers some sick individual out here in the village is trying to hurt children I am sickened by this please check your children's candy"

While some said it was a hoax, the Hamburg police have just confirmed the claim.

The report claimed that the sewing needle was found skewered between a few pieces of "Whoppers" candy.

The candy was picked up somewhere in the Charlotte Avenue area of Hamburg.
