This week's Basil Vehicles for Vets finalist was nominated by Charles Everett who tells us Debbra Ransom has diligently worked in service for veterans in WNY.  She's a mother of three who through the years has become a foster mom to 14 children.

Debbra is the founding Commander of the Johnetta R. Cole AMVETS POST #24 in Buffalo. She is a 2012 NYS Senate Veterans Hall of Fame recipient.  She Initiated the reopening of the AMVETS POST #24 Career Center.

She's a champion for assisting homeless female veterans. Ms. Ransom is the founder of Ransom House, which is in the development stages and will be a home for homeless female veterans and their children. Ms Ransom orchestrated a wedding for a terminally ill veteran at the VA Hospital in Buffalo.

The vehicle would surely assist Ms. Ransom in transporting the mothers and their children from Ransom House to doctor appointments, employment, job interviews and child care services. Her vision and purpose in helping veterans in W.N.Y cannot be outdone.

The Basil Family of Dealerships has partnered with the Veterans One Stop Center of Western New York for “Vehicles for Vets”; a summer long promotion in which a veteran or active serving military member can win a new vehicle!
