Veterans Day 5K Race And More!

This event is amazing! I was reading all about this 5K and it is really a fantastic event. It's the 2nd year for the race and all the money raised will go to benefit the Soldiers' Angels Charity. Last year they were running for the same charity and with the money they raised last year it went to put flat screen TV's in the Severe burn ICUs for returning soldiers and to prepare Christmas Packages to deployed soldiers. Seriously these men and women risk there life every day to keep our country free the least we can do is support them. Thank you doesn't seem to be enough for all they do. This even gives everyone the opportunity to give back to those men and women. Check out the website and definitely give this race a try. Whether you are runner or not you are not going to want to miss this race!

This has to be one of my favorite arts and crafts show! I know we still have Thanksgiving (and trust me I will not be missing that day! It's my favorite Holiday!) but we do need to start thinking about the holidays. I'm sure most of us are buying presents this year and instead of the same old stuff why not get love ones something unique. They have over 400 artisans from across the country and around the globe at this event. You'll find everything from gourmet foods to jewelry to pottery and more. You'll find a special unique gift that you won't find in department stores. Plus the atmosphere at the event center is so much fun since the holidays are in the air.
