It’s time once again for our Hometown Hero, brought to you by Batavia Downs Gaming with help from our friends at WNY Heroes who help us with our nominations every week.  This Week’s Hometown Hero is from Attica, NY.  From our United States Army, it’s Specialist Vincent Loranty!

Vincent joined the United States Army his senior year, at the age of 17.  In July 2013 just 2 days after his 18th birthday he left for basic training at Ft. Jackson, SC. After basic he went to Ft. Eustis VA for specialty training as a helicopter mechanic. After his training, he was stationed at Ft. Carson where he’s currently serving his country as the crew chief on his Chinook helicopter. He has earned the Army's Achievement medal, which is awarded for outstanding achievement or meritorious service.
Vincent continues to make his parents and family extremely proud each and every day for his dedication and commitment to protect and serve his country.

This week, we say thanks to Vincent Loranty our Hometown Hero of the week! .

If you would like to see a picture of Vincent, go to WYRK.com!  While you’re there, nominate your own Hometown Hero. We like to honor both active duty and veteran heroes from right here in Western New York.

Thanks once again to U.S. Army Specialist Vincent Loranty, our Hometown Hero of the week!
