The Buffalo Zoo, a Local Treasure

When my brother Ronnie was in Buffalo visiting over the Fourth of July Holiday, we decided to head to the Buffalo Zoo.  It has been a while since I’ve been able to get to the zoo even though I drive past it on Parkside to and from work 5 days a week.  Every time I’m at the stop light, I try to get a glimpse of the Giraffe’s if they’re outside at the time.  Anyway, it was a lovely day at the zoo.  It wasn’t over crowded or anything even though there were a lot of people visiting that day. 

I was able to take pictures of my favorites; the giraffes, the polar bear who seemed a bit anxious.  The one gorilla we saw was laying on his back basking in all the attention.

The zoo is a really nice place to spend a couple hours, and it was nice to see families enjoying the day and having picnics.  It never gets old hearing the excitement of little kids when they see the lions, tigers or whatever else excites them.
