WARNING: Buffalo Area Getting Scammed By ‘Key Bank’ Scam

If you get this text message make sure that you are careful! Western New York has seen incidents of people pretending to be 'Key Bank' and are trying to get your information.

You will get a text from the scammer saying that there is something wrong with your account. Then you'll receive a web address to download and a local number to call. The bank says to DELETE the text immediately .

Key Bank is aware of the situation and their fraud hotline number is 1-800-433-0124.
