Did you ever play Chubby Bunny as a child? The game where you put marshmallows in your mouth while reciting "Chubby Bunny" and you see who can have the most in their mouth while still being able to say "Chubby Bunny." It was a game I played as a child and looking back I can see the choking hazard, but we were always supervised. I remember playing it at our neighbor's house in Texas and I think I either won or refused to stop and almost threw up. I felt that this would be true in this competition too. We decided to put a fun twist on Chubby Bunny for Fat Tuesday! We call it "Chubby Paczki" and it seems like a horrible idea and yet a great idea at the same time.

Place your bets! Who do you think will come out on top?

Paczki, according to Wikipedia, "are made from especially rich dough containing eggs, fats, sugar, yeast and sometimes milk. They feature a variety of fruit and creme fillings and can be glazed, or covered with granulated or powdered sugar." The paczki tradition can be traced back centuries in Poland where the purpose of making pączki was to use up all the lard, sugar, eggs and fruit in the house before Lent.

Do you have a favorite paczki filling? A favorite place to get your paczki? I think it would be awesome if you had a Grandma that made them and it was a family tradition to go over and be there when they're freshly made. I will say though that we are not left wanting in WNY for a tasty, well-made paczki!
