Watch Out For E-Z Pass E-Mail Scam

It's amazing the number of internet scams that are out there and how many people fall for them because they look authentic. The New York State Thruway Authority is warning of an e-mail scam. And they say it isn't coming from them.

The e-mail claims to be coming from the E-Z Pass Service Center informing you that you've failed to pay for driving on a toll road. It gives you a form to fill out and directs you to use a credit card to pay up. The Thruway says it’s not from them and they’d never use e-mail invoices for payment. They say delete it.
