Wendy Lynn’s Review Of Carrie Underwood’s New CD ‘Blown Away’

Country music is at the top of its game with great CD’s that are selling like hot cakes here in Buffalo.  The one to watch is the new release from Carrie Underwood.  The CD titled ‘Blown Away’ debuted at number nationaly and here in Buffalo as well and literally did blow me away.  I’m a renewed Carrie fan after hearing this disc.  I’ve always been a fan, but not one that would sit and listen to her entire CD at one time.   While the first Single 'Good Girl' will draw you in it's not the best on the album.  The stand outs for me are:

“Wine after whiskey”- just a solid after love song – relatable

“Leave love alone” -it's such a fresh sound for her and really catchy

“Nobody ever told you”- Wow great message for young girls, but anyway who has felt low and lacked self confidence will relate to it.

“One way ticket” - simplicity is good it's a fun summer anthem

“Good in goodbye” - similar to wine and whiskey not sure which I like best

“Do you think of me” - sweet little story song

The album is well rounded and her voice is on point.  Most recently I’ve thought Carrie screamed her songs but this CD her voice is vulnerable and strong.  Good stuff Carrie.  Check out the tracks and buy the CD here.
