What Could Be Deadlier Than Sharks?

The other night I was sitting in my house watching something about a person’s true life animal nightmare.  One of them involved a Great White Shark, which is also one of my biggest fears.  But believe it or not, there are things that are deadlier than sharks.

I don’t know what it is about sharks though that keeps me coming back.  I keep feeding this fear by watching TV shows where they are shown either as the fierce villian or a creature to appreciate like a piece of art.  I’m so fascinated by sharks that I’ve got “Touch a Great White on the nose” on my bucket list.  I’m aware that I may want to finish off the rest of the things on that list before I get to that one because it might be the last one I’ll ever do…but it’s on there nonetheless.

There’s no question that sharks can be brutal.  The way they kill is incredible.  It’s stealthy and it’s  quick.  But believe it or not, you’re less likely to be killed by a shark than you are a whole lot of other things. Life Magazine has put together a pictorial list of some of the things that you are more likely to die for.  I’m not sure if it will make you feel better about sharks, or worse about going to a Jimmy Buffett concert, but you’ll have to check out the list to know for sure.

Check out Life Magazine’s list right here.
